From the Ground Up: Turkmenistan Cottonseed Facility
Engin Group
Overview
Between 2014 and 2016, we worked with Engin Group to modernize multiple cottonseed processing facilities within Turkmenistan. The scope included the design, supply, and installation support for 5 to 8 cottonseed processing plants, most operating at 200 tons per day, with one reaching 400 tons per day. The project focused on delivering efficient, cost-conscious systems that would elevate Engin Group’s operations to modern industry standards.
Challenges & Approach
Working across multiple plant sites, this initiative required replicating high-performance systems while tailoring each installation to its unique operational context. With cost-efficiency as a core objective, we engineered and supplied a full range of machinery, including gins, delinters, gummers, seed cleaners, lint cleaners, air systems, fans, conveyors, cyclones, structural supports, and power configurations, each optimized to balance performance with budget and site-specific requirements. Beyond equipment delivery, our team provided on-site guidance during installation, offering technical support and ensuring seamless integration. This hands-on approach helped empower local teams and set each facility up for long-term operational success.
The Result
This project delivered a fully modernized, multi-plant system for Engin Group, significantly upgrading their processing capabilities. With hands-on support and budget-conscious design, we enabled a smooth transition to modern machinery, helping Engin Group improve output, reduce maintenance, and meet their production goals efficiently.
